December 1980, Milan. In Ettore Sottsass’s apartment, a group of young designers gathered to discuss the future of design! Fascination with postmodernism and shared experiences fueled the discussions, while criticism of the minimalist credo "less is more" grew bolder. This is how the style was born, named after Bob Dylan's song "Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again," which played on loop that evening!

Although more than forty years have passed since that memorable meeting, Squiggle Memphis still amazes – perhaps even more than ever! Its unconventional, colorful, and expressive forms have captured the hearts of Millennials, the generation born between 1981 and 1996. Moreover, designers predict that the Memphis style will be one of the leading trends of 2025!
